You may have noticed new details shown on your Payment Notice for your monthly retirement payment. Our new record-keeping system allows us to share more detailed payment information. Here's what of some of the terms mean.
The portion of your monthly lifetime payment that comes from your member contribution balance at retirement that has not yet been taxed.
The portion of your monthly lifetime payment that comes from your member contribution balance at retirement that has already been taxed.
The portion of your survivor monthly lifetime payment that comes from the member’s contribution balance at retirement that has not yet been taxed.
The portion of your survivor monthly lifetime payment that comes from the member’s contribution balance at retirement that has already been taxed.
The portion of your court ordered monthly lifetime payment that comes from the member’s contribution balance at retirement that has not yet been taxed.
The portion of your court ordered monthly lifetime payment that comes from the member’s contribution balance at retirement that has already been taxed.
The portion of your monthly lifetime payment that comes from an annual Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) calculated under Utah law.
The monthly lifetime payment calculated at the time of retirement, based upon the member’s age, service credit and final average salary.
This portion of your monthly lifetime payment comes from legislation granting an additional 3% benefit for members who had earned URS service credit on or before January 1, 1989, and did not take a refund of their member contributions.
