Partial Lump-Sum Option (PLSO)

At retirement, members will have the option to receive a lump-sum payment equal to 12 months or 24 months of their lifetime monthly retirement benefit. By electing to receive a lump-sum payment, they accept a permanently reduced lifetime monthly benefit.
