Governors of the state of Utah are eligible for this plan as well as all legislators in both the state Senate and House of Representatives. Governors and legislators may elect to forfeit the benefit, exempt from the system, and participate exclusively in a defined contribution plan administered by our office pursuant to Utah Code Ann. 49-19-403.
