Loan Payoff Instructions

401(k) or 457 loans may be paid off at any time by following these instructions:

• The loan must be paid off via cashier’s check or money order.
• Loan payoffs may be sent to:

  Utah Retirement Systems
  PO Box 1590
  Salt Lake City, UT 84110-1590

• Loan payments are normally credited within 2 – 3 business days of receipt by the URS office.
• If a loan is paid off, it may affect the amount that is available for a new loan (see Pros & Cons of Taking a Loan).
• There are no prepayment penalties.
