Public Safety Retirement Systems Highlights

The Public Safety Retirement Systems is a defined benefit retirement plan under Utah Retirement Systems (URS) intended to provide a meaningful retirement benefit to the employee who has chosen a career in public service. It is a qualified tax-deferred plan under Internal Revenue Code Section 401(a). The laws that govern this retirement system are set forth in Utah Code Title 49.
